Spoilt for choice

What the Western Cape offers in greater abundance than anywhere else is the range and proximity of spectacular settings – waterfront, winelands & wilderness – and world-class accommodation. Other provinces have their own unique attributes.

"Boost your Best": Taking that adage to heart, we must mention that the Cape's hotels stand among the world's best – perrenial winner Mount Nelson and the more recent Table Bay are voted among the best in the world and the very best in Africa... while Tatler named Grootbos Private Nature Reserve as the best family hotel in the world.

CapeInfo offers a few ways of searching for accommodation:

You can the search box on the right hand side of every page near the top. If you select accommodation, a search box for sub-categories will drop down. You can also search by country, province and town. You can add a suburb name, establishment name and/or keywords to the search box. Setting your search to "any words", "all words" or "exact phrase" will determine what is searched for.

Online booking: If you want to make a quick and secured booking, use one of the establishments that offer online availability and booking. They are identified in the directory with

. The quick search facility only shows establishments with available accommodation that you can book online for the locations and dates you select. The search facility on the right will show much more accommodation.

You can also use the various maps to find accommodation in an area that interests you. Maps can be enlarged for greater detail and clicking on a marker identifies the establishment. That is hyperlinked to the detail page.

Hotels
There is a wide variety of hotels, ranging from large and luxurious establishments to superior "boutique" hotels and small, family-run operations. There are also all-suite hotels and notable country manors and golf estates.
Hotels in the Cape have a proud tradition of excellence that goes back over 100 years. The Mount Nelson, for example, was favoured by luminaries like Sir Winston Churchill, Rudyard Kipling, John Lennon and Lourens van der Post.
There are over 20 000 hotel rooms in the greater Cape Town area and prices range from R180 to over R8 000 per room per night.

Guest Houses & B&B's
Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfast establishments are very popular, providing a sometimes less 'commercial' alternative to hotel accommodation. Frequently owner-managed, they provide personalised service and a more homely atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from super-luxury, which exceeds many 5 star hotels, to the more basic. They are, however, not necessarily cheaper than hotels but may offer more in other ways.

Self-catering Accommodation
This ranges from private houses and apartments that are let out to..... Apart from city establishments, there are also destinations on farms and in coastal or inland villages waiting to be explored.

Farm Accommodation
Converted (and sometimes new) farm cottages offer a real break from city stresses, and an opportunity to experience something different.

Nature Reserves
This offers much more than accommodation – it will be a treasured experience! These range from really basic (and very affordable) wilderness experiences to a luxurious exploration of the Cape's natural wonders.

English is spoken everywhere, while German is spoken widely alongside a variety of other languages.

We are setting up a big fully catered tent camp for the soccer supporters (1000) on the junction N1 and N4.
We also like to register and want to let the guesthouses know that if they are fully booked they can refer the guests to us, also big groups, commission up to 10-15 %.

R6000 for 4 ppl per night self catering, now how is that not inflating prices???
You can fool some people some time, but you cant fool all the people all the time.
