Phalaborwa claims to be the tourist capital of Limpopo, and four things do set it apart.  The gate to Kruger National Park is only 800m from the town, it has one of the nicest airports anywhere, Hans Merensky Golf Estate is a gem and it is SA's cleanest town.

One can't escape the fact that it's still a mining town (80% of all economic activity) but its sights are set on tourism and wildlife.
