Banner advertising is sometimes the most cost-effective way of advertising because you only pay for the number of times your ad is actually viewed.
Banner advertising is charged per 1000 AdViews. A cost estimate is prepared based on your budget or the page/s where you want the ad placed - some pages have much higher traffic volumes than others. This benefits niche marketers and makes advertising affordable. Advertisers pay in advance for the number of AdViews puchased.
The job of delivering ads to the correct place is done by the AdServer, which also counts whenever an ad is successfully served or clicked on. Ads which do not open completely are not counted. The AdServer can also display specific ads to specific geographhic locations - visitors from Germany, for example, could see an ad in German. The AdServer also prepares automated weekly and monthly reports, which can be emailed directly from the server to advertisers.
CapeInfo caters for most international standard, IAB banner ads - 468x60, 234x60, 120x240, 120x120, 125x125 and 120x600 (in pixels). CapeInfo also has a few custom sizes too.

Standard, half and leaderboard banners always appear at the top of the page. The ad formats shown below usually appear either on the right hand side of the page or within the copy area.
