Moonriver Bush Bungalowsis nestled on the edge of a secluded valley, in the heart of the Waterberg Plateau of Limpopo, South Africa. This self catering lodge is located on a private 380ha game farm, it is an easy 2 ½ hour drive from Pretoria or a quick 45min fly-in using our bush airstrip.
With its temperate climate, warm sunny winter days and pleasant summers, Moonriver Bush Bungalows is the place to relax and unwind.
This peaceful haven is home to abundant and varied birdlife – a must for the avid “twitcher”. Those interested in walking and hiking, will enjoy tracking the game and identifying the wide variety of fauna and flora that occur here. Our inky black night skies are spectacular to say the least – a perfect place for astronomy buffs!
Moonriver offers a home away from home atmosphere, for the discerning self caterer, in the malaria free Waterberg and is within easy reach of a host of Waterberg activities. Come as a couple, or with family & friends, to experience true quality time in the bushveld.
Moonriver has 3 private bungalows:
....each with open plan bedroom/lounge areas and en-suite bathroom. Each room is tastefully appointed with an open fireplace, ceiling fan, private deck, fridge, tea & coffee station. All en-suite bathrooms have a bath and shower and loo with a view!
The bungalows have been designed with total glass frontage, to take maximum advantage of the breathtaking view and are situated away from the main lodge entertainment area, to ensure maximum privacy.
These 3 bungalows all share the main lodge: which has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, large open plan lounge/dining area (with open fireplace and DSTV availability, bring your own card), guest toilet, large entertainment deck, boma, garden and swimming pool.
100% Cotton Linen and towels are provided.
Bungalows Safari – Sleeps 2 people – singles or king size bed
Bungalows Sunrise & Waterhole – Sleep 2-4 people– singles or king size bed. (these are larger and can be used as family units, as we can provide extra beds.)
The main lodge can sleep 4 on the loft.
