African Spirit Game Lodge invites guests to experience true luxury and warm African hospitality. We are one of many privately owned lodges within a Game Reserve of 24 000 hectares. The Zululand Game Reserve received international recognition for the introduction of 28 black rhino in 2005.  The reserve hosts the BIG 5, over 70 mammal species and a diverse bird life of over 450 species.

African Spirit Game Lodge is situated 12 km’s west of Mkuze, Kwa- Zulu Natal, South Africa within the Zululand Rhino Reserve, against the backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains.

The lodge is magnificently set in the heart of Zululand.

We are situated within the Zululand Rhino Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, against the backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains. Zululand Rhino Reserve is a Big 5 endangered species reserve of 24 000 hectares. It was recently proclaimed as a nature reserve and received international recognition for the introduction of 28 black rhino in 2005.

The reserve has over 70 mammal species and among them are elephant, lion, white and black rhino, buffalo, leopard, wild dog, spotted hyena, brown hyena, cheetah, African wildcat, serval, lynx, black back jackal, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, common reedbuck, warthog, waterbuck, bushpig, red & grey duiker, steenbuck, bush buck, mountain reedbuck, ostrich, red hartebeest and diverse birdlife of over 450 species.

Our lodge consist of 4 chalets, sleeping two people each and two self-catering units, sleeping six and four people alternatively. We pride ourselfves on personal service and attention.

Please note: Check- in time is strictly 14h00 to no later than 22h00 Mon-Sat and 21h00 on Sundays.

Check-out time is no later than 10h00am on day of departure

Please note: All overnight visitors will be charged a rate of R50.00 per vehicle and R40.00 per occupant (excluding children under 12) for a Conservation Entrance Fee.
