The Historical Bellingham Homestead, a National Momument, bequeathed as a Gift to the Nation of South Africa, is the birthplace of the World famous Bellingham Wines. Here the well known Bellingham 'Johannisburger' was made under the skillful hand of Mr Bernard Podlashuk, a Maverick Wine maker of his time.  Here South Africa's first Rose, Premier Grand Cru and Shiraz wines were made, by Mr Podlashuk.  Bernard and Fredagh Podlashuk, bought Bellingham in 1943 and over 63 years, they lovingly restored it and developed it into a Special Home and created their Magnificent wines in the Cellar.  Today, it is owned and managed by the Podlashuk Bellinchamp National Heritage Foundation Trust.
