The house was built in the 70's as one of the first houses in the area. It is situated in a wonderful quiet neighbourhood less than 300m from the beach. The main shops are an easy cycle away (1km). The house has three bedrooms, 1 double room with a view of the sea on the ground floor with a King Size bed and two rooms upstairs - a spacious bedroom (Queen size bed) with a see view and with private toilet & basin attached, and a small bedroom with two single beds. A shower/bathroom is found on the ground floor. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher. Warm water is provided by a gas geyser, like most of the properties in this area. The living/dining room is small but have a view of the sea and can seat 6 people easily. Outside seating and a weber are provided. Big parking space on the property, but not enclosed. The house still has a lot of its original fittings and layout - thus the low price. At the bottom of the property, separate from the main house, is a granny flat, occupied by a full time tenant and property manager, who will be available to provide any assistance.
The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood only 300m (2min walk) from the ocean in the little fishing village Struisbay/Struisbaai. The beaches closest to the house are very family friendly, protected from strong currents, with sandy beaches full of shells in between beautiful rock pools filled with sea life. The house is 2km from the Struisbay harbour, a scenic little spot with a restaurant and a lovely little sandy beach. The whole town is relatively flat and easy to cycle. Roads are wide and traffic is pretty much nonexistent.
Struisbay is close to the town of L'Agulhas, where you can find the southern most tip of Africa as well as the third oldest lighthouse in South Africa - Cape Agulhas Lighthouse, situated in the Agulhas National Park
