Are you a romantic, lover of nature and need a break to delight the senses? Tranquility Cottage is on the edge of a river overlooking the mountains in the Overberg area.

Welcome!

Tranquility Cottage is set in a large private garden which has been inspired by nature. A short walk through the garden will take you to the entrance of the cottage into the bedroom. Large windows look out into a wooded and quiet garden. The cottage is on the banks of the Klein River with large grassy area for you to sit and enjoy spectacular sunsets or do some bird watching. Canoes can be hired locally for a gentle paddle down the river.

The bedroom has a double bed with 100% cotton linen with extra blankets in the cupboard for the chilly nights.  An en-suite bathroom  with a large shower and is supplied with locally made soap and bath sheet towels.

A fully equipped kitchen, supplied with filter coffee and  a teapot to brew a choice of teas including fresh herbs picked from an organic garden, a fridge, toaster and all the goodies to cook up a storm. Seperate bins for recycling are supplied. A dining room table dinner with a central candle is part of the deal. A small braai with charcoal is also available.

The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas and has large opening windows low enough to step into the garden.

There are lots of wonderful restaurants in and around Stanford each with their own unique flavour as well as wine and gin tasting rooms. Shopping for basic groceries can be done locally as there is a Spar and a an OK within walking distance from the cottage.  We have a unique Wandlepad for you to stroll along the banks of the river. There is always something happening in our little heritage town and one can check in at the Stanford Information Center. I am also available to answer any questions you have as I live on the property.

Hope to see you soon!
