The Maloti Route, which includes Fouriesburg and Clarins, is one of SA's gems. If Namibia can make No 6 on the New York Times list of Places to Go in 2014, the only reason this area never made it is because the NY Times (and many others) don't know about it. It is breathtakingly stunning and the perfect antidote to city life!

Delightful Clarins is the Franschhoek of the Free State and Fouriesburg was chosen as Kwela's Dorp of the Year.

Pumula Guest Farm is a working farm with sheep, cows and horses... and a setting that can't be beaten. It provides luxury accommodation alongside a dam with mountain sandstone rock formations that change with the the light of the day. It's a place where time takes on a different meaning and one's batteries recharge.

Pumula Guest Farm is highly recommended.
