Exclusive guest house offering luxurious self-catering, B&B or full board accommodation. The discerning traveller will find secure free parking, private entrances and private verandas.  Electric gates, intecom and cameras control access to and from the farm. Situated in the heart of the Natal Midlands, we focus on peace and tranquility.  Abundant wild life and birds traverse the property. The owners are purveyors of fine finishes with focus on convenience and elegance.  Food is prepared by the owner, focusing on local products and organic ingredients.  Additionally we cater for vegans, vegetarians and banting diets.

The Midlands Meander in the heart  of KwaZulu-Natal, is a collection of arranged routes that offers visitors hospitality in truly beautiful surroundings, fascinating local events, fabulous cuisine, revitalizing outdoor activities and over-the-top adventure sports, historic landmarks, wildlife conservation, and best of all "shop-till-you-drop" unique arts and crafts. An easy one-hour drive from Durban and four and a half hours on the N3  highway from Johannesburg, there is much to explore and do in the  Midlands.    Discover our local artists and try on some wool lined leather boots or hand crafted leather shoes.  Buy a new handbag and show off your purchases at the local brewery while sampling mugs of local beer, shop till you  drop and eat to your heart’s content.  Midmar Dam is a 35-minute drive  away and offers sailing, water-skiing and board sailing, pleasure  cruises and game viewing. Golf, fly-fishing, horse riding, a tour of the Battlefields and a treetop  tour can be arranged if you are looking for a bit of adventure.A good reason to come to Rosetta is to see the dramatic views of the  Drakensberg. The hillsides come alive in spring and summer with abundant wild flowers; the cold autumns are an array of burnt orange and amber;  and crisp, chilly winters offer a frost-laden air with snow-capped peaks in the distance and sometimes snow on the ground. Romance, myth and history seem to intermingle in  this part of KwaZulu-Natal where dairy farming and trout fishing rule  and where unsung gems of old Natal history pop up at the most unexpected places.

Glen Ormond nestles comfortably in this interesting, historic and romantic part of the Midlands.  We offer self-catering accommodation, bed and breakfast or full board.  Our establishment has much to offer the discerning traveler.
