Nestled between towering cliffs and a sparkling sea, Ocean View is an accredited three star country hotel and has earned the highly recommended accolade from the AA Travel Guides.

Management at Ocean View is a family affair and your hosts Ian, Lyn, Brad and Lynne are waiting to welcome you with their own special blend of Wild Coast hospitality and service.

Family values are held dear here, and mealtimes are characterised by getting together around a table to enjoy hearty home-cooking with the emphasis on flavour and presentation. Ocean View’s the ideal place to meet new people and forge bonds of friendship that will draw you back to our Bay time and again.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Ocean View is characterised by light, airy double or twin rooms – most of which boast spectacular views of the sea. Spacious family units look out across the gardens. All rooms are comfortably furnished and have en-suite bathrooms. When you’ve had your fill of beach combing, swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding - the sparkling pool in the hotel gardens is a refreshing alternative.

Conferences

Our attractive thatched conference centre, shaded by Milkwood trees, is the ideal venue for meetings, workshops and company get-togethers. During peak holiday season, this venue doubles as a television lounge come games room.

Activities and Attractions

Other popular leisure activities include fishing, diving and snorkelling, deep sea fishing, deep sea boat rides, dolphin and whale watching on a 22ft boat. If you’ve a yen to explore – nearby attractions include the famous rock formation at Hole-in-the-Wall, and Umdumbi beach – rated by “Getaway” Magazine as one of the best beaches in South Africa. We are +- 10km’s from Hole in the Wall, to which you can hike or we will drive you there.

Characterised by swathes of sandy beaches, towering cliffs where waterfalls tumble into the sea, and dense coastal forests - the Wild Coast is one of the most compelling stretches of coastline in southern Africa.

For the outdoor enthusiast, the area offers a wealth of activities – from recreational fishing, diving and water sports through to bird watching. The best way to experience the ambience of the Wild Coast is by walking, and there are several designated hiking trails from which to choose.

While you're sharing our patch of paradise, take time out to meet the people and find out more about their way of life. You'll be glad you did!
