Situated in the heart of Malaria Free Addo, on the doorstep of the Addo Elephant National Park, and close to the many private reserves of the Greater Addo Region. Chrislin Addo Lodge is an authentic, tranquil retreat surrounded by Addo citrus farms.
Chris and Linda Pickels moved to Hermiston farm, Addo in 1989 and for nearly 10 years they farmed citrus before converting their farmhouse into Chrislin Bed and Breakfast. Addo developed into the holiday destination of choice for nature and wildlife lovers and the decision was made to build traditional African mud huts. Chris had the opportunity to use his knowledge of building with mud, developed on his parents farm. The first mud hut was completed in 2000.
Addo’s unique accommodation option proved extremely popular, so a few more were built. The following year Chris and David built more huts, the large swimming pool and Sneezewoods, a wedding venue and perfect location for breakfasts and evening meals.
The tranquil Addo setting is described as paradise, by nature and bird lovers alike. Explore one of the many nearby game reserves, or spend time relaxing alongside the pool and in the lounging lapa. Chrislin African Lodge delivers a unique experience in Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in traditionally built huts. The well appointed en-suite rooms, each with their own separate entrances are equipped with numerous practical and personal touches that make our guests feel at home. The huts feature either queen-sized/king-sized beds or two single beds, and exude an authentic brand of African charm.
All our suites have been designed for maximum comfort based on two persons sharing, but the Garden Huts can accommodate up to one child under the age of 12. (on a sleeper couch/mattress) Or the Orchard hut can accommodate up to two children. (bunk bed/sleeper couch) in the same room as the parents.
