Boplaas Guesthouse is situated on a farm, established in 1743, home to export fruit and old-fashioned values. Boplaas Estate is in the Koue Bokkeveld, approximately 56 km from Ceres.
The guesthouse is situated on its own private land, where guests have access to a farm dam on those hot summer days. The house can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a scullery, and a lounge and braai room with a dining area. There is also a lovely deck outside, as well as a double garage for parking. 3 of the bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, and the fourth bedroom contains 2 single beds. Each bedroom is equipped with air-conditioning and a hairdryer. The house is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, a microwave, free Wi-Fi, and full DStv channels.
Guests are welcome to go biking and hiking on the farm, as well as in the general area, or enjoy a braai on a balmy summer evening. The historic homestead is also a national monument and is open to visitors by appointment. It is also the home of the Afrikaans poet, Boerneef, and his work can also be enjoyed on the tour. With a pilot in the family, guests can spoil themselves or loved ones with a flight over the area in 1 of the light aircrafts. Flight reservations must be made a month prior to arrival.
