Green Kruger Lodge is the only eco lodge bordering Kruger National Park and the only Strawbale Lodge in Mpumalanga:
It can be described as a beautiful sunlit, strawbale room with en-suite bathroom and fan. Each room has a 2,4m glass door through which kudu and giraffe gets spotted all the time from the luxury of your bed. The rustic and modest strawbale finishes really creates a feeling of being close to nature.
Our vision to is to consistently create awareness about the importance of being environmentally friendly whilst providing in the needs of eco-friendly travellers, those travellers who want to become more environmentally conscious or anyone who wishes to take a break in the Bushveld. Although we are aiming to be a five-star graded lodge, our focus from the start of this project was on Green Travelling principles, Fair Trade principles, green-building practices and an overall caring attitude and behaviour towards our environment and the communities we have placed our business.
There is an abundance of free-roaming wild-life in Marloth Park which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own sun-filled eco-friendly straw-bale room, the wide open communal lounge and dining area, or by taking a walk through the luscious Bushveld.
Bordering the Crocodile river and thus the Kruger National Park, viewing the Big 5 is as easy as taking a short walk to the look-out point. The Big 5 of South Africa is regularly seen without having to take a trip into the Kruger National Park. Marloth Park also has a special Rhino programme and with the current rate of Rhino poaching, all possible security measures are in place to keep these amazing animals safe.
