The beds have Egyptian cotton sheets and handmade quilts and the rooms are equipped with hair-dryers and bath towels . Complimentary tea and coffee are provided. Our garden is alive with a large variety of birds. Guests will be serenaded by Hueglins Robins and amused by the comical Trumpeter Hornbills. The surrounding area of Chobe is one of the birding hotspots of Botswana, boasting more than 400 species including the rare African Finfoot, Pel’s Fishing Owl and the Half-Collared Kingfisher. A gate from our garden will led you to the banks of the Chobe River, where you can enjoy the sunset or try your hand at fishing.
Kasane Self-Catering is ideally located for exploring the Chobe National Park and the Chobe River. For those wanting to venture further afield, it is only 80 km to Victoria Falls and Livingstone and 120 km to Katima Mulilo. Kasane is a crossroads of regional significance, making it an ideal base for your explorations. From here, you can easily drive to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia, and with a 4x4, you can drive through the Chobe National Park via Savuti and through the Moremi Game Reserve to Maun.
If you prefer destinations off the beaten track, your hosts Bronwen, Trish and Geoff, will be happy to share their local knowledge with you or organize guiding services if you wish. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, they offer personalized services to assist with bookings for activities in and around the Chobe National Park as well as further afield.
