KaapsePracht is a modern Dutch owned B&B in Somerset West, 20 minutes from Cape Town international Airport. KaapsePracht is situated in a tranquil residential area on the foothills of the Helderberg mountain.

Within walking distance you will find a variety of restaurants and the monthly Art & Craft market. KaapsePracht is the perfect base for exploring the region.

KaapsePracht also has an in house Travel Consultant ( ITC Travel ) who can at your convenience organize daytrips to the Winelands, a game of golf, whale watching in Hermanus or anything to make your stay a pleasant one.

The Rooms
3 luxury non smoking guestrooms with king size XL bed, en suite bathroom with double shower and double basin, one of the rooms has self-catering facilities. Each room has it's own private patio overlooking the swimming pool and lush garden, flat screen TV, DSTV, internet, tea and coffee facilities, secure parking. Prices quoted are in South African Rand, on a per person sharing bases and are subject to change without prior notice

The Surroundings
The Cape Region around Somerset West is one of the exceptional and most varied area in the world !! Mediterranean climate, wonderful summer with minimum on rainfall.

A fresh sea breeze makes hot summer days with over 30 degrees comfortable.

Even on sunny winter days the temperature rises up to over 20 degrees.
The region is malaria free.

Through out the whole year the nature shows all the abundance of color and perfection. Especially from September to October the spring flowers seem to explode in a firework of color.

There are many botanical gardens, nature reserves with hundreds of different Erica and Protea, with lots of bird viewing.

Small and big national parks and overwhelming mountains like the Table Mountain with it's tablecloth or the Twelve Apostles and the Cedarberg.

From the KaapsePracht it is easy to reach not only the West Coast or Cape Aghulas - the most southerly point of South Africa, even the Garden Route and many many other interesting excursions can be made.

During the month of August until October the costal region around the Cape is home of the whales. On different places it is possible to view - very close - the mothers with new born whale babies.
